If you’ve been searching for a preamp that’s able to give you complete control over your tone – this is it. The ACG preamp is so powerful, it can make your bass sound like pretty much… everything. It’ll even do wah-wah!
But talk is cheap. Here are some soundclips.
Raph noodling
Geshel’s 8-tones-in-1-preamp
Soundclips on Basschat (registration required)
How does it work you ask? To be scientific about it, it’s a filter-based preamp which incorporates a low-pass filter, as well as a high-pass filter. It does far more than just boosting certain frequency bands and is almost limitless in the tonal possibilities that it can produce!
I’ll say it again; if you’re looking for a powerful preamp that will give you complete control over your tone – this is the one that you’ve been looking for :)
This amazing preamp is available in several different configurations.

Hey guys, your filter pre-amps sound like their awesome, how much control over the mid-range do you have with the pre-amp, considering that you use a LPF and a HPF? Cheers

Hi
The low pass filter and the high pass filter have a significant overlap so you can use both to adjust certain parts of the upper mids. Or use the lowpass filter to address the lower mids and the highpass the upper mids.
Best thing to do is to try one out.
